Case study — FullStack Fine-tuning

Séfia completes its FullStack 2.0 migration with The Deployer's expertise.

Infinite-scroll sliders, conditional product logic, Routines metafield architecture — a 7 to 10-hour expert intervention on FullStack 2.0 to finish what the team had already started well.

Challenge 01

Friction points specific to FullStack 2.0

Séfia had migrated from FullStack 1.0 to 2.0 in-house. Certain theme-specific behaviors — sliders, conditional logic by product type, metafields — required fine FullStack expertise the internal team didn't have.

Challenge 02

Conditional product logic with no template duplication

The “30-day money-back guarantee” block had to show only on cotton pads — not on every product. The Routines pages (morning/evening) required a metafield architecture with conditional step display, with no template duplication and no empty sections.

Challenge 03

High-impact visual and UX finishing touches

Infinite-scroll sliders with direct mouse interaction on desktop, blur on the transparent homepage header, a Trustpilot anchor smoothly scrolling to product reviews, a visual separator between horizontal text blocks — precise visual details that define the site's final quality.

An autonomous migration, expert finishing touches

Séfia had handled the FullStack 1.0 to 2.0 migration themselves. A skilled technical team, an already solid result — but several precise finishing points remained to reach the level of experience they wanted.

The Deployer stepped in as a FullStack expert on a scope defined upfront: slider behavior, conditional logic on product guarantees, blur effect on the header, smooth Trustpilot anchor, homepage separators, metafield architecture for the Routines pages.

lamp case study context

Séfia is available in more than 500 pharmacies across France and its overseas territories, with over 1,000 Trustpilot reviews at 4.4/5. An established brand that runs its infrastructure in-house — one that doesn't need an agency to operate, but a targeted expert to unblock what resists.

Rebuild exactly as is.
Then make it better.

The golden rule of a successful migration: don't start from scratch. We first faithfully replicated the existing setup to protect performance, then leveraged FullStack's native capabilities to eliminate friction points.

Before

Sliders with pagination and arrows, no infinite scroll

Guarantee block displayed on every product

Homepage header without blur effect

Trustpilot link pointing to the external site

Routines pages without metafield architecture

After

Infinite-scroll sliders with direct mouse interaction on desktop

Guarantee block conditioned to cotton pads only

Desktop header with subtle blur and scroll transition

Trustpilot anchor smoothly scrolling to the reviews section

Visual separator between homepage text blocks

Routines pages with dynamic morning/evening metafields

1

Comprehensive audit of the existing store

Mapping of all components, UX behaviors, and active apps. Identification of friction points and native opportunities.

2

Identical migration to FullStack

Faithful reconstruction — same structure, same content, same information architecture — on the FullStack foundation.

3

Replacing apps with native components

The cart managed by a third-party app is replaced by a native FullStack component. Reduced JS conflicts and immediate performance gains.

4

Slider behavior, header and homepage interactions

Infinite scroll and direct mouse interaction on desktop for all theme sliders, with no reliance on pagination or arrows. Subtle blur on the desktop homepage header with a transition to a white background on scroll. Trustpilot anchor smoothly scrolling to the product reviews section. Visual separator (dash) between the homepage's three horizontal text blocks.

5

Conditional product logic and Routines metafield architecture

“30-day money-back guarantee” block conditioned to cotton pads only, with no template duplication. Dynamic text metafield architecture for the Routines pages with conditional morning/evening step display, on a single template.

Why FullStack was the right decision

The FullStack Theme is not a generic theme. It is 6 years of expertise condensed into a single codebase — 100% proprietary and built for performance.

01

Native components = less technical friction

Every feature is built natively into the theme. No conflicting third-party apps, no asynchronous loading, no hidden technical debt.

02

6 years of expertise condensed into every line of code

FullStack is 100% proprietary code — not a third-party base, not a fork. It is the culmination of 6 years of cross-functional expertise: Shopify development, CRO, UX design, A/B testing, analytics, marketing, and human psychology.

03

Operational freedom for internal teams

Migration empowers teams to iterate independently without external dependencies. Every FullStack update automatically enhances your store.

Without technical skills

“Séfia had done the migration on their own — they're a technical team. They brought us in on the details that resisted: slider behavior, conditional logic on the guarantees… There's a point where specific FullStack expertise speeds everything up.”
